Our services include free lay counseling, adoption referrals, and referrals to a variety of community resources to help fit your specific needs, including information on no/low cost health insurance plans, WIC, and child care assistance.
The Baton Rouge agency serves those most in need with an array of comprehensive programs that include direct assistance, disaster recovery, adoption, child-welfare services, and comprehensive supportive services for pregnant women, refugees, families in poverty, and ex-offenders. We are the area’s leading disaster recovery agency.

CareSouth is a private non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides a comprehensive range of community-based medical, dental and behavioral health services. Our health center is guided by a consumer-majority volunteer board of directors. CareSouth's mission is to provide comprehensive, affordable, high quality health care with compassion and respect for all.
Our mission is to feed the hungry in Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes by providing food and educational outreach through faith-based and other community partners. With community support, we have served the hungry in our 11-parish service area for more than 35 years.
